Community involvement rewarded
On June 23, Adonna Greaves, the founder of Studio Adonnics (member of BNI West Island One) received the title of Montreal’s “Community Leader of the Year” at a prestigious event held at the Crowley Arts Centre. The event was held in association with the Montreal Alouettes, and was hosted by CTV’s Maya Johnson and Team 990 Radio’s Matthew Ross.
A fitness center with a commitment
The award received by Adonna recognizes individuals and organizations that make a difference through their participation as volunteers, community workers or companies that are active in the community.
Adonna is a fitness expert who founded Studio Adonnics to provide a non-competitive and non- intimidating environment for community members looking for enjoyable and effective ways to get back in shape or maintain their health, as well as for high-calibre athletes looking for an edge on the competition. The center’s philosophy is to teach each member how to “invest in themselves while enjoying the experience.” Its objective is to promote health and fitness to individuals, companies and schools through the M.I.C.S. Training Method (Motivating, Innovative, Challenging and Safe). Using a family-friendly approach, Studio Adonnics is educating people of all ages about the importance of exercise and the impact it can have on health and mental well-being. There is no limit to what we can achieve when we are confident, strong, motivated and balanced.
Sharing values
Studio Adonnics, represented in BNI by communications coordinator Lawrence Menahem, joined BNI West Island One Chapter in March of 2011. Studio Adonnics’ service offering is similar to the benefits that BNI provides: the creation of trust-based relationships based on human connections.
By participating in BNI, Studio Adonnics has benefited from referrals and has increased its membership. As Mr. Menahem says, “BNI members have become comfortable referring Studio Adonnics because they know they’ll receive personalized and professional service.” BNI members themselves also benefit from Studio Adonnics because they pay a discounted corporate group rate for their own membership at the center.

Adonna Greaves, fondatrice du Studio Adonnics, représenté à BNI West Island par Lawrence Menahem, a reçu, le 23 juin dernier, le titre de « Community leader » au cours d’une prestigieuse soirée tenue au Crowley Arts Centre en association avec Les Alouettes de Montréal et animée par Mya Johnson de CTV et Matthew Ross de Team 990 Radio.
Un centre de conditionnement engagé
Le prix qu’a reçu Adonna vise à mettre de l’avant les individus et les organisations qui font une différence à travers leur participation en tant que bénévoles, travailleurs communautaires ou entreprises engagées dans la communauté.
Adonna, experte en conditionnent physique, a fondé le centre Studio Adonnics afin d’offrir un environnement non compétitif et peu intimidant aux membres de la communauté qui recherchent des moyens efficaces pour se remettre en forme ou pour maintenir leur état de santé et aux athlètes de haut calibre. La philosophie du centre est d’enseigner à chaque membre à « investir en soi tout en appréciant l’expérience ». L’objectif est de promouvoir la santé et la remise en forme à travers la méthode MICS – Motivation, Innovation, Challenge & Sécurité. À travers une approche relationnelle et familiale, Studio Adonnics éduque la population sur l’importance et l’impact de l’exercice physique sur la santé et le bien- être mental. Il n’y a pas de limite à ce que l’on peut accomplir lorsqu’on est confiant, fort, motivé et équilibré.
Le partage de valeurs
Le studio Adonnics, représenté par Lawrence Menahem, coordonnateur des communications, a rejoint la section BNI West Island One Chapter il y a cinq mois. L’offre de service proposée par Studio Adonnics fait écho aux bénéfices qu’offre BNI, à savoir la création de relations de confiance basées sur des rapports humains.
En participant à BNI, Studio Adonnics a pu bénéficier de recommandations et augmenter le nombre de ses membres. Comme l’indique monsieur Menahem, « les membres de BNI sont confortables de référer – les services du Studio, car ils savent qu’ils vont recevoir des conseils personnalisés et de qualité ». Les membres BNI sont par ailleurs avantagés puisqu’ils bénéficient d’une tarification réservée aux entreprises.
Cette participation à BNI laisse présager de belles perspectives, notamment grâce aux actions Power team mensuelles auxquelles participe Studio Adonnics. C’est en effet l’opportunité pour les membres de se rencontrer et d’échanger sur des objectifs professionnels communs.
